Public Consultation on International Transfers of Personal Data Extended

Summary:

On September 13, 2023, the Brazilian National Authority for Data Protection (ANPD) extended the Public Consultation on the Regulation of International Transfers of Personal Data until October 14, 2023. The public has the opportunity to contribute to the regulation of international data transfers and the presentation of standard contractual clauses models. Contributions must be made exclusively through the Participa + Brasil Platform. The consultation aims to regulate the transfer of personal data to foreign countries or international organizations of which Brazil is a member, as well as models of Standard Contractual Clauses, approval flows for Specific Clauses and Global Corporate Standards, and the Adequacy Decision mechanism.
