Privacy Commissioner to appear before parliamentary committee studying the government’s decision to order the wind up of TikTok Technology Canada, Inc.

"On December 10, 2024, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada issued an update regarding Privacy Commissioner to appear before parliamentary committee studying the government’s decision to order the wind up of TikTok Technology Canada, Inc.". Philippe Dufresne, the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, will appear before the Standing Committee on Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics (ETHI) to provide information about the government's decision. He will be accompanied by Marc Chénier, Deputy Commissioner and Senior General Counsel, as part of this study.
