Brief

On May 7, 2025, the Italian Data Protection Authority issued an update regarding telemarketing practices. The authority imposed severe sanctions on Acea Energia Spa and a network of agencies and companies for engaging in aggressive telemarketing and illegal data treatment. Acea Energia was fined €3 million, while the network of agencies and companies was fined €850,000.
