Brief

On 30/11/2024, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) issued an update regarding Press release on Implementation of message traceability for safe SMS service. To ensure safe transmission of text messages, TRAI mandated complete tracing of senders from November 1, 2024, and extended the deadline for Principal Entities (PEs) and Telemarketers (TMs) to declare their chains by 30/11/2024, with effect from 11/12/2024.
