Prepaid: important information about updating values

The Argentine Ministry of Economy, Industry, and Commerce has introduced a measure to update the values of prepayments for medicare-asistance plans. The measure aims to limit the price increases by applying an adjustment mechanism based on the December 2023 quota, regardless of the payment or billing date. The adjustment will be calculated as the product of the December 2023 quota and the percentage variation between the general consumer price index (INDEC) and the corresponding index for December 2023. The maximum adjustment will be 93.3% for April quotas and 114.6% for May quotas. The measure will be in effect for the next 5 months, until September.
