On 09/04/2025, the Brazilian Federal Police (Polícia Federal) issued an update regarding PF combats child sexual abuse in Piauí. An operation was launched to combat the production and sharing of child pornography on the internet, as well as virtual rape cases. The police conducted a search at a location in Regeneração, Piauí, identifying a suspect who allegedly forced a 14-year-old girl to commit and record acts of violence against herself.
