"On December 10, 2024, the Environmental Protection Agency issued an update regarding PennEnergy Resources Agrees to Settlement to Reduce Climate and Health Harming Emissions in Pennsylvania. The proposed settlement with PennEnergy will result in annual reductions of over 8,200 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions per year, eliminating more than 150 tons of volatile organic compound (VOCs) emissions annually, and requiring a $2 million civil penalty payment."
