On November 26, 2024, the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) conducted Operation Shanzai in partnership with the Federal Revenue Service to combat piracy of telecommunications products. The operation resulted in the confiscation of R$2 million worth of counterfeit products, including TV Boxes, Echo devices, and thousands of mobile phone batteries, car chargers, earbuds, and powerbanks.
