Brief

On April 25, 2025, the French National Agency for the Safety of Medicines and Health Products (ANSM) issued an update regarding Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) in pregnant women: Improving risk information for better use. To strengthen awareness among expectant mothers about potential risks associated with NSAID use, ANSM requested manufacturers to modify product characteristic summaries and labeling of these medications. This was done to inform patients and healthcare professionals about the dangers of using NSAIDs during pregnancy, which can lead to severe consequences, including fetal death.
