"On January 13, 2025, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) issued an update regarding NIH-funded study finds cases of ME/CFS increase following SARS-CoV-2. According to new findings from the RECOVER Initiative, a higher incidence of myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) cases was found among individuals who had been infected with SARS-CoV-2 compared to those without infection, highlighting potential long-term effects of COVID-19 on physical health."
