"On February 28, 2025, the Australian Government announced feasibility licence decisions for offshore wind zones in the Southern Ocean and Hunter. The licences were offered to Novocastrian Wind Pty Ltd and Spinifex Offshore Wind Farm Pty Ltd, respectively. These projects aim to create hundreds of well-paid jobs and inject millions into regional economies, while powering millions of homes with clean renewable energy."
