"On December 11, 2024, the Ministry of Health and Welfare (MOHW) announced the results of the 2024 Regional Public Hospital Operation Evaluation. Four institutions, including Gyeonggi Provincial Medical Center Itcheon Hospital, Hongseong Medical Center, Namwon Medical Center, and Gongju Medical Center, achieved an A-grade rating." The evaluation assessed 41 regional public hospitals and Red Cross hospitals based on four criteria: quality of medical care (30 points), public health services (30 points), rational operation (20 points), and responsible operation (20 points). The overall average score increased to 73.6 points, with a 3.3-point improvement from the previous year."
