On October 12, 2024, the National Consumer Commission (NCC) issued fourteen Compliance Notices to suppliers of non-compliant goods. Twelve suppliers are based in the Western Cape, while one each is in KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng provinces, mainly contravening section 24 of the Consumer Protection Act (CPA).
