"On 01/02/2023", the "Natural Resources Wales (NRW)" issued an update regarding "Native fish introduced to control invasive species in Carmarthenshire". NRW has introduced European perch to control Topmouth gudgeon populations at five sites in Carmarthenshire, following extensive research into predator-prey relationships. This initiative aims to manage invasive fish populations sustainably and support native biodiversity, with the cooperation of local communities crucial for protecting aquatic ecosystems.
