MTE publishes unprecedented recommendation on the confrontation of child labor in traditional peoples and communities

On July 9, 2025, the Ministry of Labor and Employment (MTE), through the Secretariat of Labor Inspection (SIT) and the National Commission for the Eradication of Child Labor (CONAETI), published Recommendation nº 1. This document establishes guidelines for addressing child labor situations involving traditional peoples and communities, aiming to align public institutions with children's and adolescents' rights while respecting their cultural and legal specifics.
