Brief
Summary:
The Ministry of Labor and Employment (MTE) has established a Working Group (GT) to diagnose and propose strategies for generating employment, work, and income for women who are victims of violence. The group, composed of 16 female officials from MTE's secretariats and advisory bodies, will meet monthly to develop and monitor measures promoting gender equity in the workplace and including vulnerable groups in the workforce. The GT's tasks include analyzing public records to understand the situation of women in violence, creating public policies for their qualification, professional development, and employment intermediation, as well as promoting associative work. The aim is to break the cycle of violence by promoting financial autonomy for these women. The first GT meeting is scheduled for March 14, when the Work Plan will be initiated.
