MTE discusses labor issues of workers affected by the Mariana disaster

"On Thursday, May 5, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Labor and Employment, Francisco Macena, met with representatives from the National Confederation of Industrial Workers (CNTI), Sindicato dos Trabalhadores nas Indústrias de Construção Pesada de Minas Gerais (SITICOP-MG), and Sindimetal Espírito Santo. The meeting discussed labor issues affecting workers at the Bento Rodrigues Mine, impacted by the 2015 Samarco dam collapse, resulting in 19 deaths and significant environmental damage." The Ministry of Labor and Employment aims to address the consequences of the disaster and ensure justice and reparations for affected workers.
