Ministry of Food and Drug Safety to promote regulatory support project for biohealth products

On 14/01/2025, the Korea Food and Drug Administration (KFDA) issued an update regarding "Ministry of Food and Drug Safety to promote regulatory support project for biohealth products". The project aims to provide professional regulatory support to enhance the productization rate in the biohealth field by developing a comprehensive regulatory response strategy. This will involve analyzing regulatory trends, developing detailed regulatory strategies, and providing research funding to four areas: immunocyte gene therapy, gene therapy deep tech, advanced medical AI healthcare, and pandemic-resistant mRNA vaccine development.
