MDHC launches program to strengthen actions to promote human rights in the peripheries

The Ministry of Human Rights and Citizenship (MDHC) has launched the Programa de Fortalecimento e Desenvolvimento Institucional de Entidades de Defesa dos Direitos Humanos e da Cidadania (FortaleceDH), aimed at supporting peripheral organizations that promote and defend human rights and citizenship. The program's objectives include facilitating the qualification of such organizations as Civil Society Entities and their registration on the Map of Civil Society Organizations, as well as enabling them to capture and manage public resources, engage in public policy execution, and improve transparency. The program targets peripheral organizations with precarious institutional development, low formalization levels, and has established a Committee to govern the program.
