Summary:
The Ministry of Human Rights and Citizenship, led by Minister Silvio Almeida, and the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), headed by President Mu00e1rcio Pochmann, will sign a Technical Cooperation Agreement (ACT) on Thursday, the 22nd, in Brasu00edlia, aiming to produce statistics and human rights indicators to support policies, programs, and actions on the platform ObservaDH (National Observatory of Human Rights). The partnership will focus on expanding knowledge about vulnerable populations, such as children, adolescents, LGBTQIA+, people with disabilities, the elderly, homeless individuals, migrants, refugees, and victims of human rights violations. Over four years, the parties will develop joint working plans, including the preparation of pilot tests and a national survey on homeless individuals, as well as the inclusion of a module on elderly populations in the Continuous Household Sample Survey and a module on people with disabilities in the Family Budget Survey.
