On May 22, 2025, Marina Silva signed an ordinance creating a working group to regulate the Nagoya Protocol in Brazil. The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change will coordinate the group, which will include representatives from various ministries, aiming to discuss the regulation of articles 13 and 17 of the protocol concerning access to genetic resources and fair benefit sharing.
