Brief

On 26.06.2025, the Turkish Competition Board launched an investigation into Mastercard Incorporated and Visa Inc., operators in the global card payment systems market, regarding possible violations of Article 4 and/or Article 6 of Act 4054. The investigation aims to determine if the companies complicated international payment solutions by disallowing overseas businesses from using payment/POS infrastructure provided by banks operating under Banking Law no 5411.
