The Competition Board concluded the preliminary inquiry conducted into the allegations that Başkent Ankara Yayıncılık Eğitim Hizmetleri San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti., Batuksan Eğitim Hizmetleri ve Yayıncılık Tic. AŞ, Bilfen Yayıncılık ve Tic. AŞ and Uzman Kariyer Kitabevi Yayın Dağıtım Eğitim ve Öğretim Hizmetleri Giyim Gıda Tic. Ltd. Şti. intervened with the distributors’ resale prices and prevented their passive sales, introduced restrictions on the regions or customers to which the dealers could sell the contracted goods and prices, and thus violated Article 4 of the Act no 4054 on the Protection of Competition.

 

The Board, after discussing the information and documents acquired and the observations made during the preliminary inquiry in its meeting of 22.06.2023, found that the findings were significant and sufficient, and took the decision no 23-28/541-M to launch an investigation on Başkent Ankara Yayıncılık Eğitim Hizmetleri San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti., Batuksan Eğitim Hizmetleri ve Yayıncılık Tic. AŞ, Bilfen Yayıncılık ve Tic. AŞ and Uzman Kariyer Kitabevi Yayın Dağıtım Eğitim ve Öğretim Hizmetleri Giyim Gıda Tic. Ltd. Şti.
