Insurance for all school activities of students and teachers: operational information

Summary:

The Italian National Institute for Insurance against Accidents at Work (Inail) has issued circular number 45/2023, outlining the new features of insurance coverage for all educational activities of students, teachers, and institutions. Pursuant to Article 18 of the Decree-Law 48/2023, converted into Law 85/2023, the insurance has been extended to all teaching and learning activities, including lecturers, students, and trainees within the national education and formation system, as well as higher professional and tertiary education. The new insurance coverage covers all accidents and occupational diseases occurring during the 2023-2024 academic year, including events related to the school environment, beyond the previously limited scope of technical-scientific experiences, practical exercises, and work experiences.
