INPI brings together IPC experts in Brazil

The 9th meeting of the Experts Group for Semiconductor Technology (EGST) will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from October 23 to 27. The objective of the EGST is to discuss a new class in the International Patent Classification (IPC) focused on semiconductors, involving areas such as chemistry, electricity, and mechanics. The INPI has been involved in the IPC classification since 2004 and has suggested over 50 projects, with some already concluded and others ongoing. The IPC classification aims to establish a tool for searching and evaluating patents, as well as providing statistical trends on market trends, company activity, and competition assessment.
