Brief
On November 19-21, the Brazilian Institute of Metrology, Quality, and Technology (Inmetro) attended the 90th ordinary meeting of the Subgroup of Work Nº 3 (SGT Nº 3) of Mercosur in Uruguay. The event, under Uruguayan presidency, discussed strategic topics such as technical regulation elaboration and revision. The discussions also covered good regulatory practices, interaction with the Mercosul Association of Standardization (AMN), and results from SGT Nº 3 technical commissions on toys and gas. Paulo Roque Martins Silva represented Inmetro, highlighting the importance of collaboration between Mercosur countries to strengthen integration and technical conformity in the region.
