"On 27/02/2024, the Information Regulator South Africa issued an update regarding Information Regulator issues its first enforcement notice relating to Direct Marketing complaint. The Enforcement Notice was issued to FT Rams Consulting for contravening sections of the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), specifically section 69 regulating direct marketing by means of unsolicited electronic communications, and orders them to stop sending such messages without consent."
