"On 11/03/2024, the Information Regulator South Africa issued an update regarding Information Regulator confirms receipt of notifications regarding IEC security compromise. The notification concerned a security compromise by the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) involving candidate lists for the African National Congress and Umkhonto we Sizwe Party, which did not meet the requirements of the Protection of Personal Information Act No. 4 of 2013."
