On September 15, 2023, the Federal Trade Commission issued an update regarding FTC Secures Court Order Barring Gravity Defyer and its Owner from Making Unsupported Pain-Relief Claims to Market Company's Footwear. The FTC secured a court order requiring Gravity Defyer Medical Technology Corporation and its owner Alexander Elnekaveh to stop making deceptive pain-relief claims for their footwear, and pay a $175,000 civil penalty for allegedly violating a prior Commission order.
