Frequencies Following public consultation, Arcep modifies the authorization for use of frequencies granted to the company Starlink Internet Services Limited to establish and operate a network open to the public for fixed satellite service 

On June 19, 2024, the French Regulatory Authority for Electronic Communications, Postal and Print Media Distribution (Arcep) opened a public consultation to collect reactions from interested parties regarding Starlink's request to use their systems "STEAM-1B" and "USASAT-NGSO-3X" for communications. The consultation was later modified to focus on the "STEAM-1B" system alone. The Arcep received 4687 contributions from individuals, highlighting the need for high-speed internet access in France, both for personal and professional use. Contributions also expressed satisfaction with Starlink's services, but some raised concerns about the number of satellites used.
