"On December 11, 2024, the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) issued Spanish translations of its February 2023 alert and September 2024 Financial Trend Analysis on mail theft-related check fraud schemes targeting the U.S. Mail. These translations aim to support financial institutions in predominantly-Spanish speaking communities and law enforcement's outreach efforts to combat this type of fraud, which is a significant concern for FinCEN given its status as a leading source of illicit proceeds in the United States."
