"On 05/02/2025, the European Patent Office issued a study on cancer-related technologies in Europe, highlighting France's leadership in innovation and research to combat this disease. The study showed that France has over 246 start-ups dedicated to fighting cancer, ranking second in Europe after the UK, with a significant contribution to international patent families related to cancer, exceeding 59% for direct contributions and 67.1% when including indirect contributions."
