On 28 April 2024, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) issued a discussion paper on future regulation of specific cryptoasset activities. The FCA is seeking views on intermediaries, staking, lending and borrowing, and decentralised finance to create clarity for firms and deliver market integrity and consumer protection. The deadline for feedback is 13 June 2025, with the final regime to be consulted later in the year after considering the discussion paper's findings.
