"On 26/08/2024, the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment issued an update regarding Extension of the period for establishment of the National Environmental Consultative and Advisory Forum. The Minister extended the period by 12 months from 18 August 2024 to 17 August 2025 due to the need to consult with the Forum on matters arising from air quality decisions and exemption applications, as per section 59 of the National Environmental Management: Air Quality Act."
