EU-OSHA to investigate how OiRA is used in multiple countries

EU-OSHA has launched a new research project to investigate the application of Online Interactive Risk Assessment (OiRA) tools in Lithuania and Cyprus. Building on the success of a previous study in France, this initiative aims to understand the utilization of OiRA tools by micro and small companies in these two countries. The study involves conducting qualitative interviews with companies that utilize OiRA or other risk assessment methods to identify areas for improvement.

To facilitate participation, companies in Lithuania and Cyprus have been invited to fill out an online survey regarding their risk assessment process and experience with OiRA. Additionally, interested companies can agree to in-depth interviews, which can be canceled at any time. Notably, all collected information will be kept confidential, and results will be reported anonymously.

The research project seeks to gather insights on the effectiveness of OiRA tools in promoting risk assessment and management among micro and small companies in Lithuania and Cyprus. The findings from this study will be crucial in developing evidence-based policies and recommendations for the improvement of occupational safety and health practices in the European Union.
