On August 7, 2025, the European Securities and Markets Authority issued an update regarding ESMA publishes its first Climate Transition Plan. The plan aims to reduce ESMA's gross greenhouse gas emissions by 15.4% in 2027 and 31.4% in 2030, compared to 2023 levels. This is achieved through measures such as introducing a GHG budget for air travel, optimising floor occupancy, and implementing incentives for lower-carbon practices in goods and services purchases.
