ESAs consult on technical standards for joint examination teams under DORA

The European Supervisory Authorities (ESAs) have launched a public consultation on draft Regulatory Technical Standards (RTS) for the conduct of oversight activities in relation to joint examination teams under the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA). The primary goal of the draft RTS is to establish criteria for determining the composition of joint examination teams, designating members, and defining their tasks and working arrangements. The proposed technical standards aim to ensure efficient and effective functioning of the joint examination teams, which play a crucial role in monitoring critical ICT third-party service providers. The consultation period is open until 18 May 2024, and the RTS are expected to apply from 17 January 2025.
