ESAs consult on draft implementing technical standards specifying certain tasks of collection bodies and certain functionalities of the European Single Access Point

Summary:

The three European Supervisory Authorities (EBA, EIOPA, and ESMA) have published a Consultation Paper on draft implementing technical standards (ITSs) regarding the tasks of collection bodies and the functionalities of the European Single Access Point (ESAP). The ESAP is expected to become operational in July 2026 and will centralize comprehensive financial and sustainability information, enabling users to harness this information effectively. The consultation is seeking feedback on the proposed rules related to the tasks of collection bodies and the functionalities of the ESAP, including automated validations, open standard licenses, data collection API, and metadata characteristics. The deadline for submitting comments is 8 March 2024, and a public hearing will be organized in the form of a webinar.
