Energy support helps affordability but hardship challenges remain

"On June 30, 2024, the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) released its Annual retail markets report 2023-24 analyzing key consumer outcome metrics and data from energy retailers in the financial year. The report shows that while energy rebates and concessions have helped support some households with affordability, many consumers continue to struggle with energy costs, as indicated by the total number of customers in debt and hardship programs."
