EDPB Document Setting Forth a Co-Operation procedure for the approval of Binding Corporate Rules for controllers and processors

On 13 March 2025, the European Data Protection Board (EDPB) adopted a document setting forth a cooperation procedure for approving Binding Corporate Rules (BCR) for controllers and processors. The updated procedure outlines the approval process for BCR, including the identification of the BCR Lead Supervisory Authority, the review phase, co-review phase, cooperation phase, EDPB Opinion phase, and approval procedure by the BCR Lead.
