ED Files Supplementary Prosecution Complaint Against M/s Aditya Multicom Private Limited and its Directors.
In a significant development, the Directorate of Enforcement (ED), Patna Zonal Office, has filed a Supplementary Prosecution Complaint (PC) against M/s Aditya Multicom Private Limited, its Directors Jag Narayan Singh and Satish Kumar Singh, and their associated entity Yash Raj Mineral, LLP. The complaint was filed on October 23, 2024, before the Hon'ble Special Court (PMLA), Patna, under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002.
The ED had initiated an investigation into the company based on 26 FIRs registered by the Bihar Police under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The investigation revealed that M/s Aditya Multicom Private Limited was involved in illegal sand mining and the sale of sand in districts Aurangabad and Rohtas (Sasaram), Bihar. This activity is controlled by a syndicate, resulting in substantial revenue loss to the government exchequer, amounting to approximately Rs 249.63 crore.
During the course of the investigation, ED conducted search operations on June 5, 2023, and June 7, 2023, at various premises linked with the companies and their directors in Rohtas, Dhanbad, and Kolkata. The search yielded an amount of approximately Rs 7.10 crore seized/frozen in cash, fixed deposits, and bank balances associated with the company and its directors. Additionally, properties worth around Rs 12.96 crore were also attached.
The Hon'ble Adjudicating Authority has confirmed these seizures, attachments, and requests for their confiscation from the Hon'ble Special Court (PMLA).
