ED, Kolkata has provisionally attached immovable properties worth Rs. 210.07 Crore on 31/01/2025 in form of residential properties, office spaces, land, and commercial shops located across West Bengal, beneficially owned by the CMD of Concast Group, Sanjay Kumar Sureka under the provisions of the PMLA, 2002 in connection with the case against M/s Concast Steel & Power Ltd. and others

"On "10/02/2025", the "Enforcement Directorate (ED)" issued an update regarding "ED, Kolkata has provisionally attached immovable properties worth Rs. 210.07 Crore on 31/01/2025 in form of residential properties, office spaces, land, and commercial shops located across West Bengal, beneficially owned by the CMD of Concast Group, Sanjay Kumar Sureka under the provisions of the PMLA, 2002 in connection with the case against M/s Concast Steel & Power Ltd. and others". The attachment is a result of an investigation initiated by ED based on an FIR registered by CBI, Kolkata, alleging fraudulent activities by the borrower company and its promoters, resulting in a loss of Rs. 6210.72 Crore to banks."
