ED, Delhi Zonal Office has conducted search operations on 18.06.2025 at 37 locations across Delhi, under the provisions of the PMLA, 2002 in “Delhi Classroom Construction Scam”. During the searches, original departmental files belonging to the GNCTD and rubber stamps of officials of PWD, various incriminating documents showing fake invoices submitted to GNCTD departments, showing inflated/ bogus claims, digital evidences and 322 bank passbooks linked to mule accounts opened in the names of labourers to divert government funds were recovered and seized

"On "20/06/2025", the "Enforcement Directorate (ED)" issued an update regarding "ED, Delhi Zonal Office has conducted search operations on 18.06.2025 at 37 locations across Delhi, under the provisions of the PMLA, 2002 in “Delhi Classroom Construction Scam”. During the searches, original departmental files belonging to the GNCTD and rubber stamps of officials of PWD, various incriminating documents showing fake invoices submitted to GNCTD departments, showing inflated/ bogus claims, digital evidences and 322 bank passbooks linked to mule accounts opened in the names of labourers to divert government funds were recovered and seized. The searches revealed significant irregularities in the construction project, including cost escalations of up to 49.03%, forged letterheads, dummy firms, and fictitious procurement records. Further investigation is ongoing to uncover the extent of these financial misappropriations."
