On 20/12/2024, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) issued an update regarding "EASA publishes new rotorcraft noise model". The EASA has published the NORAH2 software prototype and noise hemispheres database to estimate the noise on the ground generated by rotorcraft operations. This tool was developed as part of a 4-year research project funded by European Union's Horizon 2020, aiming to improve noise assessment for rotorcraft operations.
