Defra has appointed Chris Tyas OBE as a non-executive board member, effective January 11, 2024. Chris, with over 40 years of experience in the food industry, joins the board for a three-year term. Prior to his appointment, Chris was the Senior Vice President of Nestle's global supply chain and previously co-Chaired Defra's Food Resilience Industry Forum. As non-executive board member, Chris will provide strategic leadership and challenge the department, drawing on his expertise in food supply chain management.
