"On 15/01/2025, the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) issued an update regarding CREA Scales Back Resale Housing Market Forecast. Since CREA's last forecast in April, expectations around interest rate cuts have been dialed back due to a slow spring market and growing levels of supply, resulting in downward revisions to sales and average home prices forecasts. The revised forecast for 2024 projects a 6.1% increase in national home sales and a 2.5% climb in the national average home price."
