On "05/11/2024", the "Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affair" issued an update regarding "COP 16 concludes: UK back on the global stage urging action on nature recovery and supporting 30by30 goals".
The COP 16 concluded with several significant agreements and pledges made by countries. The conference saw progress in areas such as protecting 30% of land and ocean by 2030, with the UK publishing new criteria to meet its domestic 30by30 targets.


The attendees at the summit agreed on Digital Sequence Information (DSI), making genetic information from nature available online for research purposes. A new fund, the Cali Fund, was established to support businesses in using this genetic information voluntarily, while a New Finance Trends dashboards was launched to increase transparency in nature finance.
