"On "18/10/2024", the National Institute for Industrial Environment and Risks issued an update regarding "Contamination of plants grown in urban areas by polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs): the CARTHAGE project delivers its results". The CARTHAGE project studied contamination of vegetables cultivated in urban areas due to PAHs, found in urban air. The project tested four types of vegetables and four cultivation methods to assess contamination levels.
