"On February 26, 2023, the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) condemned two transportation companies, Mayfran and New Hope, for forming a cartel in an electronic auction. The investigation began with a denunciation from the São Paulo State Education Secretariat, which reported suspicious practices by the companies during the bidding process. The companies will pay a total of R$ 1,606,224 in fines."
