"On 08/05/2025, the European Court of Justice (ECJ) issued an update regarding Commission v Slovenia. The Court imposed a financial penalty on Slovenia for failing to comply with its obligations regarding waste management at the Bukovžlak landfill, despite an initial ruling in 2015 that Slovenia had infringed EU law. Slovenia was ordered to pay the Commission a lump sum of €1,200,000 due to the seriousness and duration of the infringement."
